The Jacksonville Navy Air Show in 2002. Here we are "rafted" with two other boats. Candide is the only boat using an anchor; the other boats are tied to mine. This is a common way to create a floating party area! The guy in the center is my father, Ronald Doty.

This is Candide entering St. Augustine from the sea. My good friend Jon Duffett is on the bow.

Candide under sail in the St. Johns River on an absolutely beautiful day! This shot was taken about five minutes before we ran hard aground (my depth sounder was out for repairs).

This shows Candide at her current marina. Note that this marina is so classy, that they paint the name of the boat in front of the slip!
This is Candide anchored off St. Augustine at sunset. Jon and I went out in the dinghy to get this shot!

This is Charlie and B.J. The two are inseperable.
This is Charlie, a 2-time circumnavigator! He's doing what he loves best...hanging out on a sailboat 10 miles off the coast!
This is Charlie after a single beer. Geriatrics, apparently, are lightweights!

Jon Duffett, Charlie, and B.J. at anchor in Sister's Creek near the mouth of the St. Johns River. In the morning, we'll be heading out to sea.

Jon looking through binoculars. I have no idea what he's trying to see!

You give a guy a private berth, and he'd rather crash in the saloon! Actually, when the boat is rocking and rolling a lot, this is probably one of the best spots to take a snooze.

Good friends of mine after enjoying a cookout at the marina. Tom, Julie, Ian, and Jon. I'm in the background.

This is what the boat REALLY looks like after a crew of four go sailing for several days!
This is my sister Sharon. I don't know what she's saying, but I can bet my life its NOT, "No more beer for me!"

Jon and Charlie off the coast of Miami.

My sister, Sharon, who lives in Philadelphia. Here's she's screwing up my laptop computer.

As has happened SEVERAL times
since owning Candide...
...a model shows up and wants to
use the boat for a photo shoot...
...Who am I to refuse?...
...I just wish they'd wear less
clothing!
